Child abuse is when a child is put in a possibly dangerous situation, or is not provided correct medical attention. By the Texas state law, anyone who knows about any abuse and fails to report it is also an abuser.
There are 3 main types of abuse that we researched. These are physical abuse, emotional abuse, and neglect. Physical abuse is the one you have probably heard about. This is when a child is beaten, pinched, has had hair pulled, and this can cause them to have scratches, bruises, or even broken legs. Emotional abuse is when children are called mean names or yelled at. This causes low self-esteem, over compliance and diffuculty with other children. The final type of abuse is neglect. This is when children don't recieve medical attention or enough nutritious food. Stress, money, or job troubles of the parents may be blamed on the children. These are main causes of abuse. There is also something called the cycle of abuse. This means that some one that is abused is more likely to abuse as an adults.
Child abuse and school drop-out rates are connected!!!! Abused children can find it hard to consentrate. Also, if the child is moved around from home to home and school to school, they can have gaps in their education and have to start over. In Pakistan, during the first 5 years of their education, 50% of children drop out due to cruel beatings.

You should look at the head and face of the child almost half soft tissue injury occur on the face. Few of them have the obvious signs like broken limbs. Many of them have injuries such as bruised or swollen lips, lose teeth, cuts around the mouth, evidence of hair pulling, or red spots in their ear. This is phsical abuse.
The children have low self-esteem, severe depression, anxiety or aggression, difficulty with other children, lagging in physical, emotional, and intellectual development. This is emotional abuse.
